GLOBAL semiconductor company STMicroelectronics (ST), which has its UK sales and marketing office in Marlow, has been thanked for its financial support to the community.

Marlow Town Mayor Cllr Derek Done and Cllr Margaret Done presented the Globe Park company with a certificate to mark the financial assistance provided by ST for a number of projects in the town over the past few years.

These included the installation of a water supply at Seymour Court Recreation Ground for plant irrigation, putting up a fence around a play area and replacing a muddy track with a hard surfaced path.

Stuart Clark, ST UK area manager, said ST has a strong commitment towards the community: "It is particularly gratifying to extend our support at local level to enable improvements to recreational facilities across the town."

Cllr Done said: "Marlow Town Council is extremely appreciative of the support given by companies such as STMicroelectronics to several projects in the town."
