WYCOMBE Swan has joined forces with St John Ambulance to help raise funds for a new defibrillator.
The theatre, in High Wycombe, wants a defibrillator, or AED, as it can be vital in savingheart attack sufferers.
Thousands pass through the Swan's doors each day and an AED could be an enormous asset to the theatre.
More than 75 per cent of heart attack victims survive after being defibrillated but the chances of survival is less than five per cent if they are not treated in the first two or three minutes.
In order to raise money, the Swan has organised a theatre quiz, consisting of general knowledge questions about theatre and the town of High Wycombe.
Participants can pick up a copy from the theatre box office or cloakroom for £1. Participants should return their completed entry forms to the Swan by next Monday.
Prizes for the competition include tickets to this year's pantomime, the New Adventures of Peter Pan, as well as a pair of tickets for a Murder Mystery Evening.
