CHILTERN Athletic claimed the BFP-sponsored South Bucks Youth League Cup on Sunday with a 4-2 win over Holmer Green Colts.
After having been denied the trophy at the final stage last year, Chiltern were not about to be denied again.
In front of a 150-strong crowd they raced out of the blocks, earning a penalty after five minutes.
Holmer keeper Andrew Heard saved the spotkick but Jamie Brown followed up to bury the rebound and put Chiltern 1-0 up.
Brown made it two just five minutes later when he rose highest to meet a corner and put it beyond Heard's reach.
Holmer reduced the deficit when Keiron Alan-Curry volleyed Joe Da Silva's corner into the net and then equalised when Darren Crane raced away with the ball before squaring it to Tom Phillips for a simple tap in.
A solo effort from man of the match Darren Franklin saw Chiltern restore their lead when he outwitted his markers and fired home.
And Chiltern secured it a few minutes later when Tom O'Driscoll lifted his freekick over the Holmer wall which skimmed under the bar to make it 4-2.
