A GROUP of Valley Wives recently enjoyed an afternoon visit to the garden of Mary Berry. After being given a brief history of the house and garden and looking around it, they then relaxed under the beautiful 200-year-old weeping ash tree, where they enjoyed afternoon tea of home-made scones with jam and cream followed by chocolate cake which was voted "absolutely delicious" and a pleasant way to spend a hot afternoon. All the proceeds are going to charity.

MORE than 80 Senior Citizens enjoyed a meal and concert in the village hall last Saturday. It was funded by the Residents Association who have always put the Senior Citizens' party or outing high on their agenda. They reported that the evening was much appreciated by all. There was food in generous supply and the entertainment was by the Wycombe Savoy Concert Group. Thanks go to Mrs Rosemary Hewitt, the organiser, and to her helpers.
