HERE we are taken back to Amersham Old Town as it was in 1905. It is rather quiet around the Guildhall with only a few people ambling around. The clock reads as 11.10 and if it were not for the trading shops one could mistake it for a Sunday. A sign advertising the Commercial Hotel is visible in the background but it's a pity we can't quite make out what the bills are saying outside the newsagent
