CHESHAM United Football Club completed the double over Hitchin with a comprehensive 3-0 win over their visitors to The Meadow last Saturday.
They took the lead one minute before half-time in the Ryman Premier Division clash with striker Mark Watson's tenth goal of the campaign following his mid-season move from Woking.
After taking almost the entire first half to make the breakthrough, United needed just seven minutes of the second half to increase their tally.
James Pinnock was brought down in the area and skipper Brian Statham stepped up to take the penalty.
The keeper managed to push it onto the bar and Statham reacted quickest to save his blushes and tap in the rebound.
Dudley Campbell added Chesham's third in the 75th minute to seal a comfortable win.
