AN application to alter the frontage of a hair salon has been given short shrift by Marlow Town Council.
Haringtons in Marlow High Street has lodged an application to alter the front and interior but the council objected to the plans.
A spokesman for Haringtons said: "We were surprised to hear there had been an objection. We have worked closely with the planning authorities."
Katharine Joy, assistant town council clerk, said at Tuesday night's meeting: "The conservation officer has expressed concern."
The plans will now go before Wycombe District Council for a final decision.
