AWARD-WINNING photographer Dennis Orchard has just returned from Las Vegas with a clutch of international awards for his wedding photographs.

Mr Orchard, who works from the Wedding Centre in Marlow, clinched third place for his photo of a couple in a field in Bisham.

Mr Orchard said: "The major thing about the photo is the expression on Margaret's face, that is what got the judges' attention.

"You can see that she is really in love with David."

He added: "It is not all about putting people in a pretty landscape but capturing an expression which lasts for moments and that is what my pictures are about."

The Wedding and Portrait Photographers' International Convention is held annually in Las Vegas and attracts top snappers from all over the world.

Mr Orchard was one of six British photographers exhibiting his work.

He said: "The competition at international level is very high so I was very pleased when the judging was complete and we had achieved 17 gold merits overall."

The Twyford couple, who had the picture taken shortly before their wedding, have since moved.

His pictures are on display at The Wedding Centre on the Little Marlow Road.
