HEADTEACHER Derry Lewis is hoping for a new extension so infants at his school don't need to walk to the other side of the building for computer lessons.
Danesfield County Combined School in Medmenham, Marlow, is waiting to see if it will get a grant for a specialised IT training suite at the Henley Road school.
Mr Lewis expects to be told in early May if he will get a grant from local Government called the C Challenge grant.
He said: "Central Government has allocated the money in a bid to try and encourage schools to gain their own sponsorship by matching the grant pound for pound.
"Our governors at the school here are fantastic. It has been a difficult task as 37 per cent of the the money which was raised had to be new and we have had to demonstrate this.
"It's such a trek for our younger children to get to the computers.
"It's so important this problem is solved as soon as possible so they do not have to suffer and have the same opportunities as other children."
