EAGLE-EYED residents spotted what they thought was a suspicious man hanging around who turned out to be a salesman in possession of dope, a court heard.
Waqas Saeed, 20, of Shaggy Calf Lane, Slough, had been seen canvassing with other sales people in Beaconsfield when residents thought they were up to something suspicious and alerted police who ended up arresting Saeed.
Saeed pleaded guilty to possession of a class B drug when he appeared before Wycombe Magistrates Court on March 5.
John Horn, prosecuting, said police stopped Saeed in Knottocks Drive, Beaconsfield, on February 27, and discovered a small amount of cannabis inside the zip pocket of his jacket.
Chris Thompson, prosecuting, said Saeed had no previous convictions and had not got around to smoking the cannabis and had given up his job because he did not want to be under that kind of suspicion again.
Saeed was given a conditional discharge of six months, ordered to pay £60 costs and a destruction order was made on the cannabis.
