A THONG-clad woman draped in a Union Jack gave Marlow FC supporters an eyeful after launching a solo pitch invasion at the team's recent cup final victory.

Players and spectators alike looked on amused as the streaker ran the length of the pitch and out of the gates in Oak Tree Road in Marlow.

Derek Sweetman, caretaker manager of the club, said the identity of the woman was a mystery.

He added: "No one put their hand up to knowing the woman. Apparently it was a friend of a friend.

"She obviously got wrapped-up in the euphoria of Marlow winning the cup.

"I think it all added to the atmosphere of the evening. It isn't something we would endorse but it was a spur of the moment thing done in the right manner as she kept her undergarments on."

The svelte woman's daredevil antics followed Marlow FC's thrilling 4-0 demolition of Ryman League rivals Hemel Hempstead on Tuesday evening.

Cllr Maurice Oram, Marlow Town Mayor, was at the match.

He said: "In all the years I've been coming here I'm not aware of this happening before.

"To be honest we were so relieved at winning the cup we didn't notice it too much it is the first trophy we have won for many years."

The woman's dash elicited a roar of approval from delighted goalkeeper Lee Carroll as she skipped past him.

But the highlight of the evening was seeing the Blues lift the Associate Members Trophy, which was held over from last year.

Marlow's man of the match was striker Jason Travis who bagged a hat-trick.
