MARLOW Football Club had a mixed weekend, beating Wokingham on Easter Monday after going down to promotion chasing Tooting and Mitcham just two days earlier.

The Blues had to work hard against basement Wokingham before coming away with a 3-2 victory in the Ryman second division clash.

Last Saturday, Marlow went down 2-1 to promotion chasing Tooting and Mitcham in their Division Two clash at Oak Tree Road on Saturday.

The Blues took the lead when Jason Bowler, who had done the initial spade work, saw the ball come back to him. He volleyed into the net to make it 1-0.

But that lead last just eight minutes for the home side when the visitors levelled it on 19 minutes.

They then made it 2-1 just after the half hour to leave Marlow chasing the game.

But try as they might, Marlow couldn't find a way back, even when Tooting were reduced to ten men on 86 minutes after one of their players lashed out.

Jason Travis came closest to finding the equaliser when he followed up after Luke Evans had his shot blocked, only to see his strike sail inches over.

And Marlow couldn't take advantage of the four-and-a-half minutes of injury time the referee added either.
