DISADVANTAGED children will have the chance to fly high again in this year's Fly the Children Day 2001.

The special day, which was also held last year as part of Millennium celebrations, aims to take hundreds of disabled or disadvantaged children up in planes.

The day takes place on April 26, weather permitting, at Wycombe Air Park, Booker.

Bill Zeh, Fly the Children organiser, said: "Last year's event was such a success for everyone we thought we'd do it all over again.

"The children were so excited to be able to fly, something they would not otherwise have had the chance to do."

Fly the Children will start at 9am and while at the airfield kids will be looked after by club pilots and airfield staff.

The children will have their photo taken with their aircraft before climbing aboard for a 20 minute bird's eye view of the local countryside flying at about 2000 feet.

They will go away with the experience of a lifetime, a commemorative t-shirt and a certificate.
