HEADTEACHER Ann Hewitt has officially retired after notching up 25 years at Shelburne County First School.
Staff and pupils at the Cressex Road school in High Wycombe honoured Mrs Hewitt, from Princes Risborough, last Thursday with a morning assembly and evening buffet.
Children toasted Mrs Hewitt with lemonade in the morning and champagne was enjoyed by staff and friends at the evening buffet.
High Wycombe Mayor Mahboob Hussain attended the buffet.
"She was a much-loved and respected head and we have missed her a great deal since her retirement." said Jo Robertson, acting head at the school.
