NEW hospital buildings are set to receive the royal seal of approval when the Duke of Kent officially opens the redeveloped Amersham Hospital.
The visit will take place on February 21, and is the second royal trip organised for Bucks.
The Princess Royal is due to visit Stoke Mandeville Hospital to open a cancer care unit in April.
The new facilities at Amersham include wards, a day hospital, new out-patients, x-ray and physio departments.
The work was undertaken through a £40 million partnership with United Healthcare.
Bryan Long, chairman of South Bucks NHS Trust, said: "We are delighted that the Duke of Kent is to officially open the new hospital building.
"The ceremony will bring an end to the biggest construction programme in the NHS in South Bucks for a generation."
