COMMUNITY centre devotees were subjected to a terrifying ordeal on Saturday as The Weakest Link came to town.

Kim 'Robinson' Hill donned the black outfit and sharp glasses at Hazlemere Community Centre, Rose Avenue, on Saturday, to take on the role as host for the evening, based on the top BBC show.

The quiz was organised by the community centre with 15 people subjecting themselves to the torment.

Anne Kenyon, a member of the audience said Mrs Hill was just as scary as the real thing. She said: "It was a good laugh. Kim was like Anne Robinson because the audience was shouting out the answers and she was shouting at them."

Paula Cooper won the event, beating Gill Hambrook in the final, as 13 others were voted as the weakest link.

Mrs Kenyon said it was a very good night and it is hoped the quiz is put on again.
