A WOMAN died from internal bleeding from a fall only ten days before she was due to go on holiday.
A High Wycombe inquest heard last Thursday that Iris Brace, 71, of Brook Road, Princes Risborough, refused to go to hospital but the head injury caused by the fall set off a brain haemorrhage, leading to her death only hours after the accident on April 10.
Home Office pathologist Dr Nicholas Hunter said medication Mrs Brace was taking for heart trouble thinned her blood and prevented it from clotting. But added that there was nothing that could have been done once she fell. Buckinghamshire Coroner Richard Hulett recorded a verdict of accidental death.
