EX-CORINTHIANS footballer Mick Putman was left smiling last week after a surprise phone call from France meant his dreams of reuniting his old football team will soon become a reality.
Mr Putman appealed to readers to help him track down Wycombe Corinthians from 1948-1952.
He had a great response but was still desperately trying to trace three men.
Last Monday, March 19, he was shocked to hear the voice of old pal Ray Sabatini at the other end of the phone calling from a village near Bordeaux in France.
"I couldn't believe it," said Mick. "It seems his son who lives in Sands saw the story and called his father.
"He was so excited about the reunion and says he will surely travel over to meet up with all the boys."
