Prince Edward talks about the benefits of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards for industry
A GOLF day went with a swing when Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex, turned up at the event.
The Prince attended the meeting at Wentworth to help advertise the business aspects of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards. Youd Andrews, sales consultants to IT companies, based in Missenden Road, Great Kingshill, held the golf day on July 24.
Don Youd, senior partner of the company, said: "Prince Edward is an integral part of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards and came along as guest of honour."
More than 30 senior industry people, as well as many others, heard the Prince talk about the benefits of firms being in the scheme for young people.
Don said: "The objective was trying to stimulate interest among senior executives in the Awards."
