PROUD owners launched their pub, the Old Ship, in the traditional boating manner after a two-month refurbishment.
The owners smashed a bottle of champagne against the side of the pub, in Cadmore End, on Sunday, before joining in the celebrations.
The Old Ship was originally going to close when five regulars stepped in and bought the pub in October.
The pub, which features in the Good Pub Guide, was closed after the new year for eight weeks while it was refurbished.
Living space was taken out to provide more room with the bar enlarged. There are also plans to provide food at the pub.
Owner David Sumpter said: "This really is a local for the locals. The next thing is to build a patio out at the back so people can enjoy a drink outside in the summer."
