A STALKER, who sent teenage superstar Billie Piper death threats via her High Wycombe-based fan club, was locked up last week.

Juliet Peters, 32, from London's Canning Town, had denied nine charges of making threats to kill Billie and her parents during August last year.

However it took a jury just two-and-a-half hours to find her guilty at Blackfriars Crown Court last Thursday.

Summit Services, a mail handling company based in Rosebery Avenue, High Wycombe, which works on behalf of Virgin Records, received one of the nasty letters last May.

It was passed on to Virgins' Innocent Records employee, Matthew Davey, who said it "stood out as the only one which was uncomplimentary".

Addressed to Prima Billie Donna, Peters claimed that Ms Piper was "stuck-up" and had given her a "sly, dirty look", at the Pepsi Chart Show in May.

Two drafts of the same letter were found at Peters' Canning Town home.

Jury members advised that Peters receive psychiatric help. Judge Brian Pryor remanded Peters in custody until March 2, while psychiatric and pre-sentence reports were prepared.
