POLICE have charged a former Chalfont St Peter parish councillor with attempted murder following an alleged attack on a 40-year-old woman.
The attack happened on March 7 at an address in Lansdown Road, Chalfont St Peter.
Robert Boyd, 57, of Millpond Court, Addlestone, Surrey, has been charged with attempted murder, possession of an offensive weapon and two counts of threats to kill.
He appeared before Wycombe magistrates on March 9.
