A PARISH councillor has said the targeting of John Coombe, the chief financial officer for GlaxoSmithKline Plc, "should be stamped on hard" after a vindictive poster campaign was started by an animal activist group.
The vivid red posters have been put up around the Chalfont St Giles area targeting Mr Coombe because the drugs company he works for uses medical research from Huntingdon Life Sciences, which uses animals in experiments.
John Hawkins, Chalfont St Giles parish councillor, said: "They keep putting them up and we keep tearing them down. It could lead to something else, it is the 'mob rules' thing and it stirs people up.
"We have gone to the police but they knew all about it."
