CHERYL Gillan MP has said current local government funding and proposals for further changes discriminate against councils like Chiltern District Council.
The Chesham and Amersham MP has tackled local government minister Beverley Hughes MP asking for a fairer deal for Chiltern's council taxpayers.
Mrs Gillan told the minister: "We desperately need a grant system which is simpler to understand and which encourages all councils to deliver clear and positive community plan objectives."
"Government insistence that councils completely reorganise their structures, as well as embark on extensive 'Best Value' performance reviews is imposing heavy costs on our councils."
