CAMPAIGNERS are temporarily breathing a sigh of relief after news that two controversial plans have been put on hold.
The development of Slate Meadow and the one-way plan for The Green, Wooburn Green, have both been shelved until after the councils have converted to the new cabinet system and the elections.
Residents were told nothing further could be done at the moment and to sit tight at the Wooburn Residents Association meeting on Monday.
Chairman Chris Baker said there is nothing further campaigners could do for the Slate Meadow site and just to wait.
He said: "It's going to be some time next year before the government inspector comes to a decision. The next discussion on the traffic management scheme on The Green will be some time in the autumn."
