DOG attacks on children in a park have left an 11-year-old boy needing hospital treatment and two three-year-old boys with scratches.

Two brown dogs, believed to be Alsatians, attacked a group of children as they played in Sands Park, near Fryers Lane, High Wycombe, at around 4.45pm on July 27.

As the children played, the dogs set on them and scratched a three-year-old boy.

The dogs also bit two boys, one aged 12, and the other, an 11-year-old, who had to go to Wycombe Hospital for treatment to his leg.

The attack stopped when the owner called the dogs off.

He is described as white, between 30 and 40 and 5ft 7in to 5ft 8 in tall, with stubble and brown hair. He is of medium build and wore a T-shirt and shorts.

Police would like to hear from anyone else who might have been injured in the attack but has not yet come forward.

The incident comes only eight days after a separate attack on July 20 in Sands Park, between 7pm and 7.30pm, when a three-year-old boy was playing with his female cousins.

A bulldog attacked the toddler, leaving him with scratches to his back and arm, though the injuries are not thought to be serious.

The owner of the dog then walked away from the attack. He is described as white, between 40 and 50 years old, of medium build and was wearing a green jacket and cream trousers.

Jacyln Browne, a mother of two children, lives in Park View Court overlooking the park.

She said: "I don't take my children to the park because of the big dogs like Rottweilers and Alsatians there. They don't have any muzzles and they run about when they're supposed to be on the lead."
