COUNCILLOR Brenda Smulders is leaving a parish council.
Cllr Smulders, for the Bourne End ward of Wooburn Parish Council, has decided to leave the council after seven years' service to the community.
Parish councillors were told the news at a meeting on Tuesday and Cllr Julia Langley, chairman of the parish expressed her sadness.
She said: "Brenda was really good councillor, very hard working and worked quite a bit behind the scenes as well.
"I thank Brenda for all the time she has given to this council."
Cllr Smulders is looking forward to pursuing other interests.
She said: "I decided it was time to change. I have been on the planning and open spaces committee and I found it all very rewarding."
