THE wall of a church featured in the Guinness Book of Records has collapsed, leaving the congregation temporarily homeless.
The Methodist Church, in High Street, Haddenham, was having plaster taken off the inside of the wall so it could dry out when it suddenly collapsed on Wednesday. Workmen, who had just finished taking off the plaster, had to rush out to stop themselves getting injured.
Haddenham Methodist Church is featured in the Guinness Book of Records for being the tallest witchert building in the world. It was built in 1822 from locally dug materials of clay, mixed with straw.
