CHESHAM United turned a 1-0 half time lead into a 3-1 reversal as they surrendered all the points at Heybridge Swifts in their Premier Division clash on Saturday.
But The Generals made amends on Tuesday night when they fired a hat-trick past Sutton to claim a 3-2 win in Surrey.
Chesham took the lead through Victor Renner early in the second half but Sutton pulled it level when a clumsy challenge in the box gives them a penalty.
But three minutes later Chesham restored their one goal advantage through Dereck Brown.
Once again, Sutton came back to make it 2-2 when they awarded a direct free kick just outside the area and Danny Bolt drilled the ball past the diving Delroy Preddie.
But with just four minutes remaining, Chesham claimed all the points when they were awarded a penalty of their own after Martin Fox was brought down.
Captain Brian Statham converted for the win.
Last Saturday, it was Statham who put the Generals ahead from the penalty spot but Heybridge won it with three goals in the last 12 minutes.
Simon Parker equalised with a penalty after Renner brought down Chris Payne before Payne smashed them into the lead with a 25-yard bullet.
Payne then proved to be a real pain for Chesham as he set up Kris Lee for the third.
