HIGH Wycombe Cycling Club's Dave Johnson won the veterans trophy on Sunday morning competing in the Hounslow & District Wheelers Classic 100 mile time trial.
Club champion Johnson finished fifth overall after producing a time of 3hrs, 53min, 8sec. The time was Johnson's fastest over the distance.
Johnson competed against a field of 62 riders, among them, former British Best All-rounder champions Gethin Butler (Preston wheelers), Ian Cammish (Steve Goff Frames) and Oxford-based Nick Gardiner.
Butler took the race honours with a ride of 3hrs, 38 min, 7sec.
