A LADIES' football team dropped a sponsor after hearing the company supplies actresses for blue movies.

Holmer Green Ladies' FC players thought they had netted a winner when businessman Simon O'Neil offered them a deal at the end of last season.

Now the squad are facing a season out of pocket and in need of a new sponsor.

The team was forced to part from Mr O'Neil's Leeds-based company, Sabsimitalia, when he confessed it was branching out to provide porn actresses for smutty films for sale around Europe.

Team member Audrey Wixon said a man had phoned at the end of last season wanting to sponsor the team. He offered the team £500 in return for an advert for his firm in the match day programme and on their website.

The 34-year-old defender said: "He said he ran a glamour model agency providing models for lingerie and topless photoshoots. We thought we could just about deal with that but when we found out about the rest of his company's dealing we knew we had to call it a day.

"I was shocked. We don't want to be associated with that kind of thing over half the squad are under 18."

Mr O'Neil said he thought team members had a right to know the direction his company was heading.
