A RESIDENT whose flat overlooks the proposed site for a fast food drive-through says the area will be completely decimated if the plan go ahead.

McDonalds has submitted a planning application to put a drive-through restaurant on the site of former pub, The White Blackbird, in London Road, Loudwater.

But Roy Birch, 54, a motor fitter, of Old Forge Road, says the value of his property will be badly affected if the development goes ahead.

He said: "At night-time you are going to get all the kids out of the pubs and the noise reports that have been done state that there will be no extra noise. That is absolutely crazy.

"The whole area is going to be totally decimated."

A spokesman for Wycombe District Council said: "The council will be seeking the advice of the environmental health and highways authorities concerning matters such as the impact that the proposed development would have on neighbours and on highways."

Victoria Hague, McDonalds spokesman, said: "We will be holding a residents' forum in the near future to explain our plans to local residents."

When asked about changes in house values because of the development Miss Hague said: "That is not within our control but we don't anticipate anything of that nature."
