ALL local business people are invited to a social evening being given by the Marlow Chamber of Trade & Commerce next Monday to meet some of its members and exchange views. You do not have to be a member to attend the event at Clayton's in the Oxford Road and the first drink is on the local chamber. The gathering kicks off at 6pm.

THE Methodist Church in Spittal Street celebrates the church anniversary on Sunday, June 17, by holding a barbecue following the 10.30am service. Ann and Tim Dennis are throwing open their garden for the event and there will be a bouncy castle for the children. Also, if it is warm the youngsters will get the opportunity of cooling down with a swim.

THE Wildings on Lock Island is the setting for the bring and buy sale organised by the Mothers' Union next Wednesday. The monthly meeting gets under way at 11am and proceeds will go to help children's education in Madagascar, a long-term Mothers' Union project.

CHILDREN from Claytons Combined School, in Bourne End, are putting on a musical performance of Jonah at the 11am family service at St John the Baptist, Little Marlow, on Sunday, June 17. There is also Holy Communion at 8.30am and choral Evensong at 6pm.

TALENTED pianist Eva Doroszkowska is giving this weekend's Music For A Sunday Afternoon at All Saints Church. Admission is free and her recital begins at 4pm. Afternoon tea will be available and a retiring collection will be taken in aid of the church Outreach Fund.

IF you are still buying bedding plants or looking for bulbs and shrubs, there is a garden sale at Liston Hall on Sunday, June 17. Early birds can start shopping at 8.30am and have their purchases in and watered by Sunday lunchtime. The sale is open until 3.30pm.
