VETERANS who served in the RAF or the Defence Services are invited to join the Fire Service Association.
The association was started in 1995 and now has 560 members. Reunions for serving and ex-service personnel are held twice a year and are always a great success, according to Ron Brown, the association's spokesman. He said: "Our last reunion in March was a exceptionally special occasion for me as I met two pals of mine I hadn't heard from since 1958. We all served in the RAF in Singapore back then and we had a brilliant time chatting and getting to know each other again."
