FLACKWELL Heath Football Club were beaten by an injury time goal at the end of a nine-goal thriller at Witham Town in Division Three of the Ryman League.

It was tough on Flackwell who had battled for an hour with ten men after Dale Godfrey was sent off for a deliberate handball.

Earlier Lee Watson had fired Flackwell into the lead only for the hosts to come back and take the lead from the penalty spot after Godfrey's handball.

Flackwell then levelled with a penalty of their own at the start of the second half when Gary Wiltshire was fouled and Jamie Charles converted the spot kick.

But Heath then conceded two goals in a minute before pulling it back to 4-4 with goals from Wiltshire and a second Charles penalty, only to lose it in the fourth minute of injury time.

Elsewhere, third division stragglers Chalfont St Peter were beaten by an 88th minute deflected goal as they fell to their 23rd defeat of the campaign at fellow strugglers Dorking on Saturday.

Paul Batchelor's 26th minute equaliser had looked as though it would be good enough to earn Saints only their seventh point of the campaign until it all came apart at the end.
