STAFF are basking in praise after government inspectors described their nursery as excellent and motivating.
Manor Farm Pre-school/Nursery on Rose Avenue, Hazlemere, was inspected by Ofsted last November and inspectors found no key issues the nursery needs to address.
Nursery head Elaine Barry is delighted with the report. She said: "We were just so pleased that for the second time running we got top-class results. It makes all the work we do here worthwhile."
Manor Farm opened in 1976 and now more than 115 children, between the ages of two-and-a-half and five, attend it.
In their report, inspectors wrote: "The children are confident, have self-esteem, are keen to learn and able to concentrate .
"They happily leave their parents, cheerfully greet staff and their friends and become engrossed in a range of activities. The quality of teaching is good and motivates the children to learn."
Pupils are looked after by 12 members of staff, some of them parents whose own children attended the pre-school.
Mrs Barry, who has been at the nursery for ten years, added: "We run the nursery like a big family and there is a very strong relationship between staff, the children and the parents."
