STAFF at an internet specialist company have raised almost £250 to provide an Easter treat for children who have to be in hospital over the bank holiday weekend.
Business to Business Internet (BBI) in Desborough Road, High Wycombe, handed over a giant basket filled with more than 1,800 milk and white chocolate eggs last Thursday for the children in Ward 7 at Wycombe Hospital.
The money for the eggs was raised through dress-down days, ten-pin bowling challenges, loose change donations and a swear-box.
BBI's general manager, Andrew Libra, who delivered the eggs to the ward with colleague Gemma Livingstone said the idea came during last year's Christmas party.
Andrew said: "It's not much fun being in hospital, let alone over a holiday period, so we thought that the children might enjoy a treat.
"We enjoyed raising the money for the Easter basket and it gave us a target to aim at and to which we could all contribute."
Sister Ann Winter who runs the children's ward said: "We'll be able to have some fun on Easter Sunday, perhaps with an Easter egg hunt."
