PRODUCERS of television programme Family Fortunes felt so sorry Cathy Greco after she missed the end of the show because she went into labour that they sent her family the game show - in a box.

Mother-of-three Cathy, of Wooburn Green Lane, Wooburn Green, gave birth to 8lb 8oz Alfie on her friend Nicky Smith's living room rug.

She said: "It was all just so relaxed. We were just sitting watching Family Fortunes and I was even answering one of the questions at the end of a contraction."

The Greco family, husband Tony, brother Joe, seven, sister Rosie, aged nine and two half brothers Robert, 20, and Paul, 18, were sent the Family Fortunes board game, signed pictures and game cards as compensation for missing the end of the show when Cathy gave birth on January 16.

Cathy said: "It's really good fun, it's even got the famous buzzer sound. Joe's been off sick from school so its come in handy. We're looking forward to getting a big team together and playing it with a few beers."

Make-shift midwife Nicky, 30, of Hawthorn Road, High Wycombe, did not miss out as the TV team sent her a chocolate version of the game show.
