AGM on Saturday night (June 9) for the RNLI in the small hall at the Community Centre. After the formalities John Woolley will give another interesting talk on a topical subject. Anyone who attended last year's AGM will remember his brilliant talk about the Great Train Robbery and he's sure to be asked about that with the recent return of Ronnie Biggs. The meeting starts at 8pm and there will be light refreshments and snacks. Entry is free and everyone is welcome. The local members hope to see some new faces so why not make their day!

VILLAGE fete on Saturday, June 9, around the Community Centre and along The Parade with lots of good things on offer. The Rotary Rocket will be providing rides for the children. Claytons School Band will be entertaining in the outdoors weather permitting. There are lots of stalls including games and challenges for all ages. You'll find plants, country goods, crafts and cakes all waiting to be bought. A well stocked tombola and a chess challenge are all part of the scene. Barbecue and teas throughout the day until the drawing of the super raffle at 3pm. Along The Parade you'll find the shops decked out with balloons and there's a charity balloon race being run by the 1st Bourne End Scout Group. Special offers and tastings in the shops and music from a Victorian Pipe Organ. Wycombe District Council has provided a street entertainer who will be along The Parade. Children can take part in a shop window competition on the theme of Anniversaries and there's a prize for the winner. So don't miss out. Be there for a great day in Bourne End.

AUDITIONS for Lolanthe take place next Thursday in the small hall at the Community Centre at 8pm. This Gilbert and Sullivan opera will be presented by the operatic society in the autumn. Anyone interested in joining the chorus should go along to their first rehearsal on Thursday, June 21.

HIGH scoring was the highlight of the last quarter final round of On Target Quiz last Friday. Going through to Finals Night in July are St Nicholas' Church, Hedsor who beat Keep Fit by 275 to 115. Then Widmoor Reserves scored an amazing 295 to beat the Bucks Family History Society with their total of 170. A very exciting evening at The Centre with all the teams keen to see their name on the Doug Ginger Trophy.

FOOTPATHS are now open everywhere much to the delight of people who enjoy walking the surrounding hills and along the riverside. Caution is still essential when there is livestock in a field.

COMMUNITY Charity Sale on Monday in St Dunstan's Church Hall from 8.30am-4.30pm. Lots of great bargains to be found in nearly new clothes, household goods, bric-a-brac, books and shoes. Plants are also a feature of the summer sales.

BOOKS are needed by the Community Centre to fill their fundraising bookcase in the foyer. People like to browse through the titles and then put a donation for the book through the letterbox. Over the past few years this has helped raise much needed funds for the maintenance of The Centre.
