MARLOW Football Club are hoping it's a case of third time lucky on Monday when they try again to play their jinxed FA Vase fourth clash against Stotfold.

Saturday's clash against the Eagle Bitter League side was postponed because of a frozen pitch and Tuesday's second attempt was called off because of a waterlogged pitch.

Marlow can't wait to get the game on. They have been stung by criticism from Stotfold's outspoken boss Phil Pateman who has accused them of being slow and bad at defending set pieces.

He also said that Marlow's star man James Pritchard has a tendency to drift out of matches.

Marlow assistant boss Derek Sweetman said: "We've hear what he's got to say and it will just inspire us."

The winners of Monday's tie at Oak Tree Road (ko 7.45pm) will entertain Durham-based Northern League side Marske in the fifth round.

Before then, Marlow entertain Wivenhoe Town in the Ryman League second division on Saturday.
