SENIOR citizens made the most of the good weather by holding a tea party by the river.
People from Bourne End Day centre take their normal monthly tea party to the riverside in the village each August.
Elsie Clover said the weather was lovely: "There were large cruisers which should have been in the Med, small ones with children and dogs, a wonderful steamer, sailing yachts and lots of little boats full of people.
"On the bank there were people walking and waving, dogs swimming and boat people picnicking. It was a real holiday atmosphere."
Organisers from the day centre, in Wakeman Road, thanked Wooburn parish councillor Dinnie Hawthorne and husband Edward who organised the boat trips.
