COLLEGE lecturer Gill Garratt donned a Johnny Don't Go sweatshirt for her Big Breakfast debut on Johnny and Denise's last day.

Gill, of Hundred Acres Lane, Amersham, appeared alongside Johnny Vaughan on his last day on the Channel 4 show after entering a nationwide competition to explain in 12 words, why she wanted to.

The mother of two rang up and said: "Top psychologists recommend Big Breakfast therapy and I need a fix."

Gill, a counselling lecturer at Amersham and Wycombe College, said: "It was fabulous, much better than I ever imagined.

"Johnny actually gave me a big hug while we were on air. I have always said I would love to spend some time on the Big Breakfast set, so when this competition came up I thought 'yes'."

Gill brushed shoulders with the stars of the show, Richard Bacon, Donna Air and Denise Van Outen.

She said: "Everyone was brilliant including the crew. The camera panned onto me a few times but I think it was because of my sweatshirt I had printed at Shu's in High Wycombe. It is absolutely crazy. Even at five to seven they are still moving things on set."
