MOHAMMED Siraj has been awarded £2,700 compensation after, a court heard, he was hit with a bottle, dragged from his car and viciously kicked.

Brothers Zulqurnan Khan, 24, of Colville Road, High Wycombe, and Shabbar Khan , 20, of Desborough Avenue, High Wycombe, and 19-year-old Javaid Hussain, of Kitchener Road, High Wycombeadmitted using or threatening unlawful violence at Aylesbury Crown Court last Wednesday.

All three defendants denied they wounded 21-year-old Mr Siraj, of Telford Way, Downley, High Wycombe, with intent to do him grievous bodily harm. The GBH charge was ordered to lie on file after the prosecution accepted guilty pleas to affray.

Kim Preston, prosecuting, said that on January 29 last year, Mr Siraj was chatting with friends in his car in Bridge Street car park, High Wycombe, when Zulqurnan Khan opened the driver's door.

He hit Mr Siraj on the back of his head with a bottle and then Shabbar Khan and Hussain joined in and dragged him out of his car.

Miss Preston told the court the Khan brothers kicked Mr Siraj on the head and he suffered cuts and bruises and had to have two sets of stitches.

Piers Read, defending, said Zulqurnan Khan had had a previous disagreement with Mr Siraj and admitted using the bottle in the incident.

Judge Daniel Rodwell QC said: "Whatever the rights and wrongs of any dispute, it does not excuse unlawful fighting in a public place, which is what affray is all about."

Zulqurnan Khan was ordered to do 220 hours community service, pay £1,200 compensation to Mr Siraj and pay £350 towards prosecution costs.

Shabbar Khan was given 100 hours community service with three years probation and ordered to pay £1,000 compensation and £350 costs.

Hussain received 200 hours community service and was ordered to pay £500 compensation and £166 costs.

The judge warned if they broke their community service order they will face nine months in prison.
