HIGH Wycombe were left rooted deep in relegation trouble on Saturday when they lost 3-0 at home to South Premier League leaders Beckenham.

After a frantic opening it was Beckenham who took command of the early

stages with some sweeping moves. These brought reward when after ten minutes a deflection left Wycombe keeper Ed Taylor with no chance.

Minutes later the lead was extended as a corner was flicked high into the net and it took a good save in a one on one situation to keep Wycombe into the game.

As half time approached Wycombe began to create their own chances without forcing the Beckenham keeper to save.

The start of the second half however saw Wycombe dominating proceedings to produce a string of chances. David Ansdell twice broke free on the right to force good saves and Dan Strange put an effort over the bar, with Neil Titford also going close.

Wycombe were however made to pay for their profligacy when a ball fired across the goal was deflected in to seal the game for Beckenham.

Next week Wycombe visit Wimbledon in search of points to keep their chances alive.
