OVER the past few weeks there have been several letters arguing the pros and cons of our membership of the EU.
No one mentions that before we joined we had fewer unemployed and that we managed to exist by trading all over the world.
Also thousands of men gave their lives on the beaches at Normandy so that we would not be ruled by a foreign power.
By joining the EU we not only let our men down, but also our allies that came to our aid.
No wonder Australia wants to become a republic!
As to changing to the Euro, how many millions is it going to cost for cash registers etc having had to change scales for metric from pounds and ounces?
No wonder the cost of living keeps rising!!
