WHEELCHAIR ramps look set to be built at the Pavilion cricket ground.

Little Marlow Parish Council discussed new wheelchair access at the pavilion, Church Street, Little Marlow following a report by Alan Switalski, Wycombe District Council's access officer.

Mr Switalski visited the hall to see how access could be improved and to ensure suggestions complied with the Disability Discrimination Act.

Dallas Banfield, chairman of the parish council said: "We agree that the Pavilion really needs to improve its disabled access and now the proposal has been accepted, we will wait for the budget before we can make any definite plans as to what we will build."

The council heard how the entrance door to the Pavilion was too narrow and a ramp leading to the side of the centre would be more suitable.

Members are also considering wheelchair access facilities at Abbotsbrook Hall, Well End, near Bourne End.
