I READ with interest E Marshall's letter (Midweek, March 20) and can totally sympathise with the shoddy bus service.

I can also vouch for a friend who uses, or tries to use, the alleged 326 service. It's a nightmare. In the era of muggings and child abduction surely picking up children and the vunerable on time is imperative?

Having started to work in Reading I took the bus one day annd arrived very late all because the bus failed to keep to any schedule.

I can't account for the current state of the tip they call the bus station, but the last time I went was a real eye-opener.

Quite why they have no locks on the men's toilet doors is beyond me, but I am sure that we would all like some privacy without having to stand on one leg propping closed the door!!

Come on Arriva sort this out!
