A TOP girls school welcomed MP Dominic Grieve and visitors from three schools across Europe as part of a prestigious international project.

Beaconsfield High School hosted the event last Thursday, when all four schools put on a presentation of a project on architecture they had completed as part of the Europe-wide Comenius Project.

The scheme aims to promote international citizenship and student and cultural exchanges.

The evening saw Beaconsfield MP Dominic Grieve joining town mayor Malcolm Dunlop to welcome the teachers and students from schools in Italy, Germany and Romania to the town.

Dave Preston, deputy head of Beaconsfield High School in Wattleton Road, Beaconsfield, said the evening had been a great success.

He added: "We held the meeting of all the schools this year because it was the last year of the project. "

The visitors took a sightseeing tour of Oxford and went for a pub meal in Penn.
