MOTHER-of-four Liz Rothera will be pounding the streets of Paris to raise money for charity.
Mrs Rothera, of Chesham Road, Amersham, is taking part in the Paris Marathon and is hoping to raise £1,000 for The Toybox Charity.
She says she is running the 26.2 mile-long marathon for three reasons.
She explained: "I am celebrating a major milestone in my life this year as I am turning 40 on May 6.
"Secondly, I am involved as a volunteer for The Toybox Charity which rescues street children in Guatemala and I want to raise money for them through sponsorship.
"Thirdly, I have never had a keep-fit regime and felt it was about time I did something about it."
The marathon takes place on April 8.
