BEAVER Scouts need someone to take over from their leader who has retired after 15 years.

Jackie Bevan, leader of the 1st Great Missenden Beaver Scouts, is retiring in July, having founded the colony in March 1987.

Janet Pascoe said all the Scouts would miss her and would like to thank her for her commitment.

She said: "Jackie has done a marvellous job and the colony is thriving as it has always done. We would very much like it to continue without a break, but for this to happen we need someone to join our lively Leader Team and step into her shoes right away.

"Our parents and members of the Misbourne Venture Sea Scouts Unit are very supportive so they would not be alone."

The group meets for an hour a week, and uniform and training is provided free. Details from Janet on 01494 864070 or Chris Robinson on 01494 863946.
